CAUI-4, 200GAUI-4, 400GAUI-8, and 400GUAI-4 are re-timed electrical interface specified in 802.3bm, 802.3bs, and 802.3ck (draft).  A robust chip-to-module channel is critical to enable compatibility between a PHY or switch located in a host board and its corresponding client optical module. The host board and the module need to be qualified individually. The PHY-SI HCB/MCB sets are designed to reliably interconnect test equipment to the host board connector and the optical module with a electrical interfaces. The PHY-SY developers paid rigorous attention to the performance of these test fixtures to enable reliable standard compliance verification.
